Here is my project for this weeks Friends with Flair. I made this 8x10 canvas using unity stamps, stencils, inks, paints... There is always lots of great inspiration on the Unity blog. If you'd like to check it out here is a link: http://theunitystampco.blogspot.com/
I'd still like to add some words, but I haven't decided what I'd like it to say yet.
Also, here are a few pics of my scrapping space and organizational ideas...
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your long weekend!!! (=
Yep, it's my Birthday. My 40th Birthday. As I type that it just doesn't seem right. 40??? How did that happen. It's hard to believe how fast the years fly by. When your younger time seems to drag on. You can't wait to be a teenager, you can't wait to turn 16, 18, and then 21. It seems like forever to hit those milestones when your young. Now with a family and a busy life things seem to speed up and the years seem to be flying by. I'm O.K with 40, although the young kids all think 40 is SO OLD. LOL (= It's really all about how you look and feel and I still feel/look young so I'm HAPPY with that! (=
Here are some "forty" pinterest images I found! (= I'll go with Forty is Fabulous over Forty Blows! Also had to laugh at that pin. It reads: I'm 40 years old Of course I want another drink!
I always enjoy taking a peek at other crafting rooms/spaces. There is so much inspiration over on pinterest. Today I'll start with my work table area. I purchased this table from IKEA and it's been perfect for this space. I needed something not to large, but it's got lots of storage space underneath. I love baskets. I use a mix, but I'm really like all the great wire baskets out there right now!
Here's a closer look. I love to have stuff out and visible so I use it!
A peek inside my drawer. Lot's of little tags and journaling cards etc.
On top of my work table I have stamps, small paper pads, ink pads...
Here is a cool find I got a my local Goodwill store. It's a Library filing cabinet that I got for a steal!!! I use it to store my Papertrey Ink stamps as they come in CD cases. The perfect size!
This piece I saw on pinterest and went right out to buy one! (= It spins around and holds so much! I have twine, punches, paints, ribbon, stamps, washi tape, hardware etc... LOVE it!!!
And here is the door into our den which has been completely taken over with my supplies. Tomorrow I will open the doors and show you more of my space! (=
Here is a layout of my youngest daughter. The picture was taken at one of her Fred Meyer photo shoots. They gave me the photo. She is my girly girl! (= I used several different washi tapes, some dies from papertrey ink and some fun stamps.
Here is a 6"x8" canvas I painted using Unity stamps. The background, butterflies and flowers are all from Unity. The sentiment "life doesn't have to be PERFECT to be wonderful" is from Verve. I used different paints and inks and just had fun with it. (=
Thanks for stopping by. Have a wonderful weekend!!! (=
Here are some fun 6x6 wood blocks that I made. It's all computer generated, printed, mounted and sealed with mod podge. I'm working on more of these and I will be adding some to my store soon. I'm loving the chevron at the moment!! (=
