February 2010 (recap)

A Muse/Hero Arts cards

Here are a couple more cards I did this week. The top one is using stamps from A Muse.  I also used some of their DP.
The second card is made using a Hero Arts stamp set called "Sky's the limit".  I stamped the clouds onto blue DCWV paper and cut them all out.  I used my scallop and circle punches and stamped the cute rainbow image.  I actually saw this card on Flickr and though it was so cute and I just happened to have that stamp set waiting to be used.                                

Rain and Flowers

The rain is back today after several days of sunshine. )=  Looking forward to the next sunny day!  I made this card with Unity's "Rain and Flowers" set.  The sentiment reads: into every life a little rain must fall that's what makes the flowers.

Just received my February Unity KOM.  I just love their images and great sentiments.  They are known for having the cutest tree images.  I did a lot of paper piercing with all the circles.  Added the cute little bird, cloud and sentiment.  TFL.

I got out some of my Ketto stamps from Stamping Bella.  Used my new bracket punch from EK success.  I like clean and simple cards.  It is cased from a card I saw while brousing the blog - polkadotcafe.

Roller Skating

We took the kids roller skating for the first time!  It was so much fun.  A little bit of work, but FUN!  I spent so much of my childhood on skates and it comes right back to you.   Looking forward to doing it again.

Fun with Flowers...

I really like making these adorable flower barretts for my girls.  I do a variety of different syles.  Some fabric, some felt, others silk but, they are all very cute!  I have a few on my ETSY store and I'll be adding more periodically.  TFL!

Better Get Better...

Another little cutie from MFT Pure Innocence line.  Who wouldn't love to receive this sweet little card to cheer a person up when not feeling well.  I also used October Afternoon DP, ribbon, twine and my MS scallop border punch. 

You Make the Grade

Another cute stamp from My Favorite Things.  It's a great stamp for some cute teacher cards!  Also wanted to let you know I added a few more of these cuties to my etsy store!

Valentines day teacher gifts

Here is a fun and easy gift idea for teachers and best of all it's affordable!  My son has 2 teachers this year my 1st grader has her teacher and a student teacher and my youngest in preschool has 2 teachers and 2 helpers.  Gifts can add up fast when buying for so many!  These were made using designer papers and a scallop circle punch.  Add a brad to the center of the flower and fold the paper inward.  Then use your hands to pull the layers apart.  I also like to ink around the outside of the flowers.   These cute little vases were found at michaels.  Use candy or a vase filler to finish it off.

Signs of Spring...

We are still a ways off from spring but I do see signs it's on it's way!!!  Sunshine - yea!!!  My daughter has even broken out the flip flops!  Yes, it is a bit early for those but I totally understand wanting to wear flip flops!  I've seen flowers blooming and my tulips are starting to come up!  I love tulips!!  Here's hoping the sunny weather continues and we can keep wearing those sunglasses and flip flops!

Cute, clean, simple...

I just adore these cute little images!  I also love clean and simple cards.  I used Strathmore ivory with deckle cards which have a great texture and I really like the deckle edge!
