April photo mosaic

We spent the day in Eugene at the Oregon Spring Football game!  It was a nice day and we actually came home with sunburns on our faces!   We haven't needed sunscreen since last summer and I didn't even think about it.  Oops!   Here is a pic of the kids and I.

Flower jar holders

Here is a little project I did awhile back.  I've seen similar things around the blog world...  I used some wood I already had on hand and turned it into a cute little vase holder.  My girls love to pick me flowers and now I have the perfect place to put them!! (=

These would also make a great Mothers day gift!! Just add some pretty flowers!

The little bird is vinyl cut with my silhouette machine. TFL! (=

Motherhood is a journey...

With Mothers Day coming up I ordered this great set of Mothers Day sentiments from Flourishes called Motherly Love.  I combined an image and sentiment from two different sets.  Here is one of the cards I did.

The DP is from Crate Paper.  I added some seam binding and punched out some MS butterflies.

Dropping you a line

I just got a couple new stamp sets from Flourishes.  This card is made with the set Kids At Play.  I just love the great images and sentiments with this set.  Can't wait to ink up more of it. (= 

Masculine cards are harder for me, but this is just very clean and simple.  I just love this sweet image.  The DP is from Basic Grey and I finished it off with a button and twine.

Samoas

Who doesn't love Girl Scout Samoa cookies?  They are my FAV!!!  When I saw this recipe here http://kim-toomuchtimeonmyhands.blogspot.com/search/label/recipes I knew I had to make them! (=   They were a little more work then I usually spend on cookies, but they were so worth it! YUMMY!!! (= 
Mine wern't quite so pretty, but they tasted awesome and that's what counts! (=

Here are some cute little spools I decorated.  I die cut some felt flowers and attached them with some wire.  I stamped the sentiment "you're sew lovely" from a Lawn Fawn set and slid that into the wire.  Cute and simple!! (=

Added a little fabric butterfly to this one.

Papertrey Ink dies were used for the flowers.

Celebrate

I had to whip together a quick birthday card.  These cute images from By LORi designs are just perfect and my girls love them.  They also love sitting and coloring them with me!! (=   The sentiment is from Paper Smooches and I just love the font!

Be Stong and take heart...

Here is a card I was playing around with.  I haven't really done any blending techniques on my cards, but I saw a tutorial recently and thought I would try.  I didn't really like how it was turning out at first.  It seemed like there were lines that didn't blend well.  I'm not sure what I was going for but I do think it turned out O.K.

The sentiment is from Unity and I pulled out another old stamp set from SU for the branch and bird.

This is a picture of my daughter at her first piano recital over the weekened.  She didn't really play any songs.  She did play a few notes and sing a couple cute songs!! She is definitely my musical entertainer!

And finally the rest of my weekened was working on signs... 

Clean and Simple

I have a couple very clean and simple cards today.  I've had these stamps for some time now.  It's fun to pull out those old stamps from time to time!!  I need to do this more often.  Both stamps are from Penny Black.  Sentiments are both from Papertrey Ink.

Sisters - this moment

WOW!  It's been a really long time since I've done any scrapbooking.  I finally sat down and pulled out a picture of my girls!  Here's what I came up with! (=

I haven't done any layouts using my silhouette until now.  I cut out all the fonts and the cute camera image with the silhouette.

Here is a card I made using a Pure Innocence digi image!  I thought it was a really sweet image.  I can't believe how long it's been since I've played with one of the PI cuties!! (=  I haven't really done many round/scallop cards, but I've seen so many cute ones I thought it would be fun to change it up a bit! (=

A card and Photo mosaic

Happy Friday!! (=  I had a fun day of shopping yesterday, but I was so tired last night!  A friend took me to the coolest Antique mall!! Lots of fun finds!!!  
I put together a fun little card using a sentiment from Paper Smooches:

March flew by so fast I had forgotten all about my photo mosaic, but I quickly put it together with some fun pictures from the month.
