More Pinwheels...

I had a very nice Birthday.  Ate way too much food, cake and ice-cream, but I guess that's what Birthday's are for!! (=   We watched the American Idol Finale last night.  Do you watch?  Who do you want to win?  I'll be happy either way, but my daughter REALLY wants Lauren to win! (=

Onto a little project with my new Pinwheel die.  LOVE these cute little pinwheels!!

Happy Birthday

TO ME! (=  Yes, another year has gone by and I'm another year older.  I certainly do not feel my age, but it's hard to believe I'm ( I can hardly say it) 39.  O.K, now you know. LOL.  Time certainly does fly by when your having fun! (=

And finally here is a card I made. Sentiment reads Blowing you kisses.   Funny story...  I actually saw a giveaway on FB for these cute pinwheel dies.  I put down my name and went to the website lil inkers.  I just thought they were SO CUTE and had to get them.  So I just got my order in the mail and that same day I found out I won them.  REALLY???  I NEVER win anything!  I'm hoping they will swap them for their flag dies, but I'm not sure yet.  O Well.

Pallet LOVE

I've been seeing so many cool projects made from pallets recently.  Here are just a few:

I thought the planting idea looked cool so my husband put this together in our backyard...

The plants were just planted so I'm sure it will start to fill in soon.

I cannot take credit for any of it! (=  It would all be my husbands work.  He is the green thumb in the family.
I think my next pallet project may be a headboard.  I'm planning on painting my room (grey) in the next month or so and I'm thinking that might be a fun added touch!!!

Alphabet cards

Here are some laminated alpha cards I made for my daughter.  I started with some alphabet paper:

Cut all the letters out

ran them through a laminating machine

Punched a hole and added a key ring.

They are just perfect to put in your purse and pull out when you need something to entertain your little one.   Also, when you turn them over there are lines to draw on. Just use a dry erase marker! Simple and Cute!! (=

Jo Totes - Super CUTE camera bags!

How CUTE are these camera bags!!!  I just LOVE them!  I  just ordered myself a Birthday present!! hehe (=   I hate carrying my purse and my camera bag so this will be perfect!!!

Unity May KOM - My heart sings

Here is a card using Unity's May KOM which I just got in the mail.  SO many fun images! 

I used up just a few of my scraps I have laying around.  The musical notes with the heart are from this months Unity kit.  The little birdie is a cute little rub on and the little notes going up are from a MFT set.  I also used an SU heart punch and rounded a couple of the corners.  TFL! (=

UNITY - C&S and Preschool Graduation

Very Clean and Simple...

Delaney had her last day of preschool this week.  WOW, did that fly by fast.  The youngest definitely seems to grow up faster.  They had a great program of singing and a fun slide show of all the kids.  All three of my kids went to the same preschool and had the same teachers. It's hard to believe we are all done with that chapter.  On our way home from the program Delaney got very sad and said her heart was breaking and she was going to miss her teachers.  It was so sad, but the next morning she woke up and said her heart was starting to tape up!! So sweet.

Unity Challenge - all about the birds

I made this card for the Unity Challenge.  The stamp is from a past Unity KOM.  I added some lace, seam binding and MS punch.  The paper is from Lilybee designs and the sentiment is from Technique Tuesday.

More Mixed Media and Suzi Blu card

 This weekened I had fun playing... (=  I bought a canvas and just tried some different techniques.  Here's what I ended up with. 

I used my new Suzi Blu stamp from Unity.  I had no idea how big this stamp was, but I love it!!  I used several of my other Unity stamps.

I haven't taken the She Art workshop, but I just may have to take it!! (=

Mixed Media

I've been seeing so many cool mixed media projects lately and I just had to experiment!! (=  Here are a couple little fun things I made:

This first project was made with a piece of MDF wood that I already had laying around.  I used paints, papers and a UNITY stamp!  I think it turned out cute! (=

This is just a little fun tag made with canvas (duck cloth).  I used gesso and acrylic paint and then just did some doodling. Teacher Appreciation

It's teacher appreciation this week and here are some fun gift ideas for those much deserved teachers!

BLD - Sugar Stick and Fred Meyer Ad

Here is a fun card I made using this cute image from By LORi Designs.  This is Sugar Stick - Girl with Kite.
