Photo holder

I loved this when I saw it and knew I would be making some for myself!! (=  I found the inspiration for these on Lynns blog Millers-ink.  Lots of great stuff to see!! (= 

I actually couldn't find all the supplies that were listed on the tutorial, but I made due with similar items that I think worked.   You can use these to clip up pictures,  notes or to do lists.  You could also use these as a receipe holder etc!!!  A more detailed tutorial can also be found on the Shanty 2 chic website.

Christmas memories 2010

Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas!!!  Here are a few pictures of our Christmas!  We are so very blessed!!! 

Burlap Wreath

Not a very traditional holiday wreath, but I thought it would be fun to try something new. 

I saw the tutorial to make these burlap flowers on The Tidy Nest blog.  Check it out!! (=

Last minute gift ideas

If your looking for some last minute gift ideas these are perfect!!  Personalize some tiles with family photos!  Here are some I did a couple years ago:

1. I turned my photos into Black/White and scale down to size.

2. Print your photos onto tissue paper  (this can be tricky).  You need to tape the tissue paper onto a piece of thicker card stock when you run it through your printer.

3.  Apply just a thin layer of  Mode Podge to the tile and lay down your picture. Smooth it out very carefully.

4.  I let it dry a bit before applying Mod Podge over the top of your tile.

5.  Add felt circles to the bottom and your done! (=

(I did add some sentiment stamps to the top tiles)

If your looking for something even easier try stamping on tiles!!

Teacher gift with washer necklaces

Here are some of the teacher gifts I made this year for Delaney's preschool teachers.  The snowmen are filled with hot chocolate mix.

These washer necklaces are fun, cute and easy to make!

Start with washers from your local hardware store.  Choose some DP.  I used my jovial paper pad from Basic Grey.  Trace around the washer and cut out paper to fit the washer.  I then used Mod Podge to adhere paper to the washer.  Then you need to sand around all the edges.  Finally add a sealer.  I used crystal effects from Stampin up, but there are many others you could use.  TFL!! (=

Computer issues again!

Well I had a post for this evening, but unfortunately my computer is down AGAIN!!! I'm writing from my husbands laptop.  I'm thinking I could use a new computer for Christmas! (=  Hope to be back soon...

Warm and cozy wishes

Here is a cute and simple card with some die cut cups.  I cut them out with felt and then stamped on the felt. Sentiment reads: warm and cozy wishes.

I thought it would go perfect with the gift of coffee, coco, cider or tea:

 

New Bug & Roo and a Blog Award!

Here are a couple cards I made with a new sweet image from Bug & Roo.  These images were done by Hannah Boyd daughter of  Lori Boyd and they are oh so cute just like her moms! (=  If you'd like to check them out they are available at By LORi designs.

TPE - Winter Wonderland theme challenge

This week at The Pink Elephant we are doing a theme challenge.  The theme is Winter Wonderland and you can do anything you would like.  A card, project, layout... it's up to you! (=   I made a card using a super cute snowman image from By LORi Designs.  I've always loved snowmen!! (=  Here is my card:

A Christmas program and visiting Santa!

My daughter Delaney had her Christmas program at her preschool a few nights ago.  The kids are so CUTE at that age.  All my kids have been though the same preschool and it's sad to know this is our last year there.  The kids got a chance to visit with Santa after the performance.  They asked for lots of things... Xbox 360, Ipod touch, Dippin dots machine, Mind Flex, Guitar, Big horse, pillow pet....

Dressing up your candles

We all probally have some plain candles laying around.  To make them look more festive for the holidays just add some felt shapes to them.  These were made with some ornament dies from Papertrey Ink. I cut out the shapes with some felt and attached them with twine.  Super simple! (=  TFL.

Simple Butterflies

I made this card using Kraft paper, MS punch and butterfly dies from Papertrey Ink.  Very clean and simple!

Chalkboard Tag Ornaments

I found these cute wooden ornaments and new they would be fun to dress up!  On one side I used  digi images from by LORi designs, added some DP, ribbon and used my Ric Rac die.  The other side was painted with chalkboard paint.  You can write your own little personal message!  You can use these as a gift tag and then as an ornament for your tree!!!

OREGON heading to the National Title game!!!!!!!!!

I LOVE MY DUCKS!!!!!!!!!!! (=  We are Big Oregon Duck fans here and we were so excited to see a win against the Beavers in the civil war!  Ducks 12-0 will be heading to the National Title game for the first time ever!!!  Lots of Green and Yellow around here!!! GO DUCKS!!!!!!!!!!

We are lucky to live where we can drive a couple miles and cut down our tree each year!! It's been a family tradition for many many years!!

Snowmen Ornaments

Here are some cute little snowmen ornaments I put together:

I used clear glass ornaments.  Most of them I filled with fake snow, but I also did a few adding white paint inside the ornament.  You can see the difference in the top picture.  I stamped on a snowman face with StazOn, but then also went over it with a black sharpie paint pen.  I also painted on the nose with an orange paint pen.  The hats were made using a baby sock.  I cut a hole in the sock so you can attach string/ribbon to hang your ornament.  Then closed off the top with some ribbon.  Thanks for looking!! Christmas tags

Just playing with some of my fun Papertrey ink products!  I just LOVE all their awesome dies.  These little tags are just the perfect addition to any gift.  The stamps are from the tiny treats Christmas set.  So many cute little stamps!!  Nothing facncy, but cute and simple! (=

Puddle Jumper - Winter Dana and Penny
