Color Challenge at TPE

This week at The Pink Elephant we are doing a new scrap challenge.  Its a color challenge and the colors are Brown and Orange.  Here is my layout:

I used papers and chipboard shapes from Cosmo cricket nutmeg.  Love the papers in this line!! If you'd like to play along with us this week check it out HERE. 

Too early for a Christmas card?

I guess it is a ways off, but it always sneaks up on me! (=  When I saw the cute paper I had to have it, when I had the paper I had to make the card,  when I made the card...  O.K I'm starting to sound like the book I read to my daughter!! LOL!  I usually don't make my own Christmas cards for Christmas.  It's just too much work and time consuming for me.  I usually make a few, but thats about it!  Do you make your own Christmas cards?? 

Chalkboard fun!

I bought a can of chalkboard paint awhile back and I've been having so much fun with it! It can get kind of addicting!! Everything you look at you say " that would be cool with chalkboard paint" LOL! Anyway, here are a few things I have done:

Halloween Party

Outdoor School

My son went to outdoor school this last week.  They just got back on Friday and had a GREAT time!!  Here are a few pictures that he took!

Had the BEST time at the game last night!! I just LOVE watching the DUCKS!! They were unstoppable beating UCLA 60 to 13!!!

Circle Pendants

My husband and I both graduated from the University of Oregon and we are huge Duck fans!! We LOVE college football.  Today we are heading to Autzen Stadium to see Oregon play UCLA.  I love going to watch the DUCKS play at Autzen!  So much FUN!!! (=  We are hoping for another Oregon win and keeping our #1 ranking!!! (=  
I made these cute 1" circle pendants out of wood circles.  They turned out really cute!  I know A LOT of OSU beaver fans also so I made some of each!

Coaster Tiles

Coater tiles are so popular and fun to do.  You can get tiles from your local Home Depot or Lowes.  When stamping on tiles always use StazOn ink.  I baked these at 350 for approx 20 mins.  I also added felt circles to the back.

I made these with someone in mind.  I thought they would be great for a beach house!

I just love these CUTE Sugar Sticks by Lori Boyd.  I used this cute note card from A Muse and created a very clean and simple card!  TFL!! (=

decorating on a dime!

Here our a couple Halloween projects I put together for very little money.  This first project was made using items from the dollar tree:  I got my inspiration from blog land!! (=  I've been seeing lots of dollar tree items being used for cute and inexpensive projects!!

This second idea was free to make.  I had this fabric laying around.  I just stuffed in some old newspaper, added a cinnamon stick at the top and tied it together with some rafia!  Fun, easy and free!!! (=

Pure Innocence - birthday card

My motto is you can never have too many of these Pure innocence cuties!! (=  Here is my most recent one!  I paired her with some cute paper from My Mind's Eye (Alphabet soup girl).  TFL!

Halloween Decor

Here is an EASY and fun idea for decorating for any holiday.  I purchased some inexpensive dishes at the goodwill store - I think I will call it the goodsteal store! (= 

Now just add some window and mirror clings!! I choose some from Martha Stewart that include witches, crows, pumpkins and cats!  The GREAT thing is they peel back off (no sticky mess) and you can reuse your plates for the next holiday!!!

Pumkin patch visit #1

I went with my daughters class to the Pumpkin patch!! We all had a great time! Hay rides, mazes, pig and duck races (too funny) and the search for the PERFECT pumpkin!! (=

I've Been Spotted!!!

I got a sweet email saying I had been spotted using Claudia and Company's Adorable stamps!!  I just love these cute images from Lori Boyd!! They are so fun to play with!! (=  Some of my cards are being featured over on their blog: Here: C&Co. Here is one of them using Ella Lollipop!

If friends were flowers...

I thought I'd play along with the Claudia and Company challenge - RED!  I used the very cute Emma Puddle Jumper for my card.  The flowers were cut and hand rolled and the sentiment: "If friends were flowers I'd pick you!" is from A Muse.

Theme Challenge at TPE
